These are the golf simulators GSV has built and filmed itself: garages from a net to a freestanding Carl's Place PRO, basement rooms designed around the simulator, an all-in-one booth, a complete Foresight package, and bays at two golf clubs. Each build page has the video, the room, every part, how it went together, what stood out, and the part that fills each spot today, with GSV's codes. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, built every one of them, and two of the build videos are the most watched on the channel. Find the one closest to your room, open it in the GSV Sim Builder, and ask GSV's partners for a package deal on a build like it.

Which build is closest to your room?
- A room about 11 ft wide with a ceiling near 9 ft: look at the SIG10, the Carl's Place DIY and the 2021 DIY builds. A launch monitor beside the ball saves the depth a radar needs behind the golfer.
- A garage that still parks a car: look at the G-TRAK, which rolls up, and the budget net build, which comes down.
- A two-car garage with a high ceiling: look at the Carl's Place PRO and the SimBooth 2, with the launch monitor overhead.
- A basement room you can give to the simulator: look at the GSV studio and the 2020 room, with a screen built into the wall.
- A club, a business or a big room: look at Tyrone Hills and Warwick Hills, on frames that stand on their own.
- A tight budget or a low ceiling: look at the budget builds, and the room size checker for which launch monitors fit.
The golf simulator cost calculator prices complete builds at the makers' list prices, including GSV's garage, and the how to build a golf simulator guide walks through every step.
Plan your own in the Sim Builder
The GSV Sim Builder lays out a simulator in your room, in 3D: the enclosure or a built-in screen, the launch monitor, the projector and the mat, with the swing, the ceiling and the distances checked. Most build pages open their build in the Sim Builder, ready for your own measurements.

Golf simulator build questions
How much does it cost to build a golf simulator?
GSV's 2021 DIY build came in under $2,700 for everything but the launch monitor. At the makers' list prices in October 2026, GSV's cost calculator puts a Square Golf Home Edition in a SIG10 with a projector and mat at $5,697.98, a Carl's Place PRO with a ProTee VX like GSV's garage at $14,957.90 plus GSPro at $250 a year, and an Uneekor EYE XO2 with a SIG12 at $20,966.98 plus $449 a year for software, all before codes.
How big a room do you need for a golf simulator?
GSV's builds run from a 10 ft wide enclosure to a basement room about 16 ft wide. A SIG10 needs a room at least 11 ft 2 in wide with an 8 ft 6 in ceiling to put up, and most golfers want about 9 ft of ceiling to swing a driver. The depth depends on the launch monitor.
Can you build a golf simulator yourself?
Yes. Jay built the 2021 DIY enclosure alone in a little over an hour, the SIG10 in about an hour and 15 minutes, Carl's Place DIY enclosures in an hour to an hour and a half, and the SimBooth 2 in just over two hours, with help only to tip it upright. The Carl's Place PRO and the SIGPRO Commercial, on heavy-duty 2 in pipe, are jobs for two people.
Garage or basement for a golf simulator?
Both work, and GSV has built in each. A garage often has the width, and a freestanding enclosure like the Carl's Place PRO needs nothing fixed to the building. A basement is darker and comfortable all year, but is more often short on ceiling.
Can you see these builds in 3D?
Yes. Each build page opens its build in the GSV Sim Builder, which lays it out in 3D in your own room and checks the swing, the ceiling and the distances.
Is there free help planning a build like these?
Yes. Jay offers a free consultation with GSV's partner master builders, hand-picked by Jay, who check that the enclosure, the launch monitor, the projector and the room fit, and offer package deals, DIY packages and full installation.
