The full guide: Golf simulator enclosures compared
This is the GolfIN SimBooth 2 GSV built in a garage in 2025: an all-in-one booth with an aluminum frame, carpet-wrapped half walls and ceiling, its own floor with the hitting mat set into the turf, a pre-wired projector beam, and GolfIN's IDRA II overhead launch monitor running GSPro. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, put it up alone, apart from tipping it upright, in just over two hours, then tested shots, shot shaping, chipping, putting and the screen's bounce back. Here is every part, how it went together, what stood out, and what the kit costs today.

How it went together
- Delivery. The largest package Jay has received: a simulator on a pallet, shipped from Canada, very well packed, dollied into the garage from a liftgate truck.
- Labeled panels. Each panel has a sticker for where it goes. Fit the back support bars before tipping the booth upright.
- Alone, almost. The family helped tip it upright; Jay did the rest himself, in just over two hours to the first shot. SimBooth quotes under two hours for the SimBooth 1 and 2.
What stood out
- A finished room, not a frame. One of the most quality standalone setups Jay has seen: the aluminum frame, carpet-wrapped half walls and ceiling, and netting and padding behind the screen.
- The floor. The screen tucks under and around the turf, with no gap between them, and the floor is all one level, which GolfIN points out helps putting.
- The picture. With the LH600ST at 16:10 the screen showed thin black bars at the top and bottom. To fill it, Jay suggests a BenQ AK700ST or AH500ST set to fill the screen. The projector guide has both.
- Bounce back. Low from the first shot, before the screen was even worn in. A low hybrid that skimmed the floor came back some, but no ball rolled back past the hitting area.
The golf simulator enclosure guide sets the SimBooth beside the SIG, Carl's Place and SIGPRO Commercial enclosures, and the garage guide covers where a booth like this suits a shared garage.
The SimBooth 2 today
| What | By SimBooth and GolfIN | From |
|---|---|---|
| SimBooth 2 | 12 ft 1 3/4 in wide, 8 ft 10 in tall, 12 ft deep; 172 in screen | $8,695 |

| SimBooth Kit 2, 4K | The same with a BenQ AK700ST | $17,695 |
The kit Jay built in 2025 came with a BenQ LH600ST; SimBooth now pairs it with an AH30ST or an AK700ST. The IDRA II is also sold on its own and in SIG10 and SIG12 packages at Shop Indoor Golf, where GSV250 takes $250 off a package. GolfIN mounts the IDRA II 99 to 120 in above the floor.
Plan the room in the Sim Builder
The GSV Sim Builder lays out a simulator in a room, in 3D, and checks the swing, the ceiling and the distances. The SimBooth and the IDRA II are not in it yet, so use it to check the room around a booth this size: 12 ft 2 in wide, 8 ft 10 in tall and 12 ft deep.
