E6 Golf Simulator Software: E6 APEX Cost, E6 CONNECT and GSV’s Review

E6 is TruGolf's golf simulator software, and it comes in two generations. E6 APEX, which TruGolf now sells as E6 Golf 2026, is the current one: Windows only, with more than 15,000 courses and yearly plans from $150. E6 CONNECT is the previous generation, still sold, still on PC and iPad, and still the version many launch monitors come with. Here is what each costs, what you get, which launch monitors run it, the PC it needs, how it compares with GSPro, and what Jay found playing it from its first PGA Show preview in 2023 to the 2026 version on a Garmin R50. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, has filmed E6 since 2020, on FlightScope, Uneekor, Foresight, SkyTrak, Garmin and TruGolf launch monitors.

The short answer

  • E6 APEX cost: E6 Golf 2026 is $150 a year for the practice and improvement tools, $300 a year for course play, or $450 a year for both, by TruGolf.
  • E6 APEX or E6 CONNECT: E6 Golf 2026 for the newest graphics, the 15,000+ course library and the improvement tools on a Windows PC. E6 CONNECT for an iPad, or for the owned courses that come with a launch monitor.
  • E6 or GSPro: GSPro is $250 a year, with 2,500+ community-built courses and 31 officially supported launch monitors. E6 has the larger course library, TruGolf's premium courses and built-in coaching and club fitting, and needs a stronger PC.

E6 APEX, E6 Golf 2026 and E6 CONNECT

TruGolf showed E6 APEX at the 2023 PGA Show as the upgrade to E6 CONNECT, released it to the public in April 2024 and added course play at the end of that year. From August 2025, TruGolf began calling it E6 Golf 2026, and its software menu now lists just two products, E6 (2026) and E6 CONNECT. Its shop calls E6 CONNECT "TruGolf's previous-generation platform, still widely used at commercial facilities". So E6 APEX and E6 Golf 2026 are the same software, and older GSV videos use the APEX name.

Improve$150 a yearBag Mapping, Club Fitting, Skills Challenges and practice tools
Play$300 a year15,000+ courses and standard course play modes
Enjoy$450 a yearCourse play and all the improvement features, plus Coaching on Demand

All three are yearly, read from TruGolf's shop on October 17, 2026, and bought through TruGolf's E6 portal. TruGolf offers free trials from time to time and does not publish their length. One license runs on one computer. TruGolf launch monitors come with E6 software as standard, which in practice is an E6 CONNECT license, with E6 Golf 2026 as the add-on.

Courses

TruGolf lists more than 15,000 courses for E6 Golf 2026, which it calls the largest licensed course library in simulator software. Most are On Demand courses, built with AI and geospatial tools and added in batches of hundreds to thousands since late 2024. A smaller set are hand-built premium courses, among them Pebble Beach, Teeth of the Dog, Lofoten Links, Royal Portrush, Oakmont, Sand Hollow and Prairie Dunes.

Jay played an On Demand version of a Michigan course he knows from a state pro-am in 2024 and found it a very good representation with quality graphics. TruGolf refines courses from players' feedback.

What E6 Golf 2026 does

  • Practice: ranges with distance and dispersion, Scoring Zones, and On-Course Practice on any course, with Drop Ball and Drop Pin.
  • Improvement: Bag Mapping from as few as three clubs, Club Fitting that compares test clubs on the fly, 49 Skills Challenges, and Coaching on Demand from PGA professionals.
  • Play: stroke play, scramble, best ball, match play, Stableford, closest to the pin and long drive.
  • Events: national tournaments and skills challenges against other E6 players, clubhouse events for facilities, and leaderboards.
  • Extras: dynamic weather and time of day, AI commentary, achievements and course flyovers.

E6 CONNECT

E6 CONNECT runs on a Windows PC and on iOS. Its Home license comes with 27 owned courses, up to 8 players and more than 8 modes of play, among them stroke play, scramble, best ball, Stableford, match play, closest to the pin, long drive and the Demolition Driving Range games. TruGolf shows E6 CONNECT Home subscription prices after a login to its portal. A Commercial Suite adds member management, leagues and handicaps for TruGolf systems.

Some launch monitors come with E6 CONNECT courses to keep, and SkyTrak sells it as an add-on:

  • FlightScope Mevo Gen 2: 8 courses for iOS and PC, by FlightScope, among them Kiawah Ocean Course, Torrey Pines South and Valderrama. See FlightScope Mevo.
  • TruGolf LaunchBox: an E6 CONNECT Home key in the box.
  • SkyTrak: SkyTrak sells E6 CONNECT Basic as a $300 a year add-on to its Essential plan.

Jay compared E6 CONNECT on an iPad and a PC in 2020: the 3D graphics are toned down on the iPad and it dropped a few frames on flyovers, but the two play the same, with the same ball flight, roll and course layouts.

Launch monitors that run E6

TruGolf lists 19 launch monitor integrations for E6 Golf 2026 and names these:

Launch monitorE6 Golf 2026 (E6 APEX)
TruGolf APOGEE and LaunchBoxNative, TruGolf's deepest integration
FlightScopeListed
Garmin R10 and R50Listed
Rapsodo MLM2PROListed
Square GolfListed
GolfJoy, KGolf, Ditect, VTrack, PiTrac, Impact Vision, Bullseye GolfListed

SkyTrak, Uneekor, Foresight and Bushnell are not among the units TruGolf names for E6 Golf 2026, though it names only 14 of its 19. SkyTrak sells an E6 CONNECT add-on, and Foresight documents an E6 CONNECT launcher for its units. Before buying for E6, check that the launch monitor is on TruGolf's list, or ask GSV's partners below. The launch monitor finder narrows them by room and budget.

The PC E6 Golf 2026 needs

By TruGolf, at least Windows 10 64 bit, an Intel i7 10th generation or newer, 24GB of memory, an NVIDIA RTX 3060 with 12GB and an NVMe SSD. That is more memory than GSPro asks for at 1080p. Jay found some courses still loading in visibly on an RTX 5090 in 2025, which he put down to TruGolf still working on efficiency. The best computer for a golf simulator guide and the PC benchmarks cover the hardware.

What Jay found playing E6

  • 2023 PGA Show preview: a big step up in graphics from E6 CONNECT, with 3D grass, tree texture and undulation, waves at Pebble Beach and fine detail in the distance.
  • April 2024 public release: practice areas only, no courses yet, and a slow first load. Weather and time of day change on sliders, and the wedge reaction on the green was getting really good, with 9,000 rpm wedges checking up.
  • July 2024 update: FlightScope, Garmin and SkyTrak added, Skills Challenges with coaching videos, and Club Fitting that Jay called very powerful.
  • November 2024, course play: nine holes at Teeth of the Dog, two under. Jay liked the lighting, the grass around a ball in the rough, the lie penalty shown as a percentage, and the AI commentary. His wish list for TruGolf: out-of-bounds marks and the distance left on the mini map, and a green view. One ball on a cart path did not bounce.
  • 2025, with the LaunchBox: courses detailed down to about 3 ft and Royal Portrush added. Putting with the LaunchBox performed decently, though the launch direction was not shown.
  • March 2026, with a Garmin R50: a clean new interface with course previews, good cup physics and putts that move as they slow. Carries in E6 read shorter than the R50's own numbers, 264 against 273 yd on one drive, which Jay flagged to share with TruGolf.

TruGolf LaunchBox and APOGEE

TruGolf makes its own launch monitors for E6. The LaunchBox is a camera unit that sits beside the ball, $2,999 by TruGolf, with an E6 CONNECT Home key in the box and E6 Golf 2026 as an add-on. The APOGEE hangs from the ceiling. Every TruGolf model, its price and GSV's tests are in the TruGolf golf simulator guide. GSV has the LaunchBox and E6 APEX and the LaunchBox review.
