Why the 0.496 Throw Ratio Changes Everything
Most golfers focus on brightness and resolution first. Throw ratio is the spec that actually determines whether a projector will work in your room — and 0.496 is a genuinely short number that opens up install scenarios a standard or typical short-throw projector cannot.

The Big Offset — Why It Matters
Offset describes how far the image sits above the lens center line. The LK830ST's large upward offset means the projector can sit at floor level or at the base of an enclosure and still throw the image upward to fill the screen — perfectly, without tilting the unit or fighting keystone distortion.
A low-offset projector at floor level has to angle upward to hit the screen, which introduces trapezoid distortion and forces you to rely on digital keystone correction that softens the image. The LK830ST shoots nearly straight ahead from a low position and fills the screen cleanly top to bottom. This is the install scenario BenQ designed this projector specifically for.

Floor / Ground Level
The LK830ST sits on the floor in front of or behind the hitting mat. The offset throws the image up to fill the screen with no tilt required. Clean, easy, no shadow issues. Perfect for portable or semi-permanent setups.
Enclosure Base Shelf
Many golf simulator enclosures have a shelf or recess at the base. The LK830ST mounts here cleanly, projecting upward through the hitting bay. No ceiling penetration, no cable runs up the wall.
Ceiling / High Shelf

LK830ST vs AH500ST — Is 4K Worth It?
