A home golf simulator shows what the ball did. A training aid works on why. The ones that suit a simulator room do one of four jobs: build swing speed, show the swing on video, sharpen putting, or fix strike and swing path on a mat with no turf to push a rod into. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, has used or filmed each aid on this page on GSV's channel. Below: what each does, the maker's list price, GSV's code, and which one to start with.
Codes first: GSV10 takes 10% off The Stack System. GSV25 is GSV's code for the B29 Blue Brick, and Blue Brick accepts it some of the time, so try it at checkout. GSV25OFF takes 25% off ShotForge. GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order at Shop Indoor Golf, on a QuadMAX or a Uneekor launch monitor.

Swing speed
The Stack System, $299. A speed trainer with weights and an app that runs the sessions: a baseline test, speed priming before a round, and programs with lighter and heavier weights. In Jay's 2024 first look it was paired with a FlightScope radar reading club and ball speed, so each session had numbers behind it. The Stack also sells its own Stack Radar, $289. The Garmin R10 works with it too: Garmin added support for The Stack System in its R10 software, versions 4.40 and 4.50, in March 2026. GSV10 takes 10% off.

Speed training built into a launch monitor. Two launch monitors GSV has filmed have it, so no second device is needed:
- Foresight QuadMAX: its speed training mode reads swing speed with no ball, by Foresight. GSV filmed it in 2024 with speed tips from Darren Husse, PGA, Director of Instruction at Warwick Hills. The QuadMAX lists at $19,999. See the GCQuad and QuadMAX guide.
- SkyTrak ST MAX: a GOLFTEC speed training mode in SkyTrak's app, with its own long drive range. SkyTrak lists the ST MAX at $2,995, and GSV's SkyTrak link applies GOLFSIMULATORVIDEOS at checkout. See the ST MAX review.

Swing feedback and video
A launch monitor gives club path and face. These show the body that made them.
- ProTee VX AI Swing Trainer, included with the VX. Built into ProTee Labs, it uses the two swing cameras that come with the ProTee VX to track the full body through the swing, then gives improvement tips and instructional videos through GolfSwings.ai. ProTee Labs needs no subscription, and the feature is in public beta. Jay runs it in the GSV studio. ProTee VX pricing comes through Jay. See the ProTee VX AI Swing Trainer.
- Uneekor AI Trainer, $99 a year. An add-on to Uneekor's VIEW software that needs Uneekor's Swing Optix cameras. It scores each swing and points out what moved: the head, the takeaway, the body angles, the path and the face. In GSV's experience a score of 85 and up is a good swing. Uneekor's AI Report, a beta in VIEW, writes a coaching report from a set of shots; GSV's from 10 shots took about 5 minutes. Light matters: Jay uses one light face on and one down the line. See the Uneekor AI Report review.
- Sportsbox AI, free or from $109.99 a year. 3D swing analysis from video, in an app for iOS and PC. The free plan takes 5 swings a month; 3D Player is $15.99 a month or $109.99 a year, and 3D Player Plus $39.95 a month or $399.99 a year. GSV talked through it with Edwin Fuh, PGA, of Sportsbox AI at the 2024 PGA Show. Sportsbox AI plans.
- GSV's free swing analyzer. Upload a swing video and AI body tracking measures tempo, head movement, hip rotation and more, in the browser, with no app. The report can be emailed. Try the free swing analyzer.
ProTee VX and Uneekor
- ProTee VXPriced by GSV as part of a package. Email Jay at GSV before you order.
- Uneekor launch monitors5% off at Shop Indoor Golf with code GSV5OFF.First-time buyers only, one use. Not valid on a standalone Trackman, the Square Golf launch monitor or the ProTee VX.
Putting
- PuttAIM, $124.99 to $224.99. A laser putting aid that projects an aim line, from the Mini at $124.99 through the Plus at $174.99 to the PRO at $224.99, by PuttAIM's regular prices. PuttAIM calls it the perfect add-on to a simulator. In Jay's 2024 video it put an aim line inside the simulator and a physical cup to putt into. GSV has no code for it. PuttAIM, and GSV's PuttAIM video post.
- PuttView. A projected putting green with aim lines and drills on the turf, for a room with space for a green. PuttView pricing comes through Jay. See the PuttView guide.

Strike, path and plane
B29 Blue Brick, $169. A 3 lb weighted base with 11 slots that holds alignment rods at set angles, so the rod drills that normally need turf work on a hitting mat. It comes with two collapsible rods, 44 in long and 12 in folded, and drill videos, with free US shipping and a 60-day money-back guarantee. Jay first used it with a local high school team whose players came over the top: touch the rod and the feedback is instant. The maker says it can be used indoors without hitting balls. GSV25 is GSV's code, accepted some of the time. See the Blue Brick review.
Practice games
ShotForge, $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year. Practice games for any simulator, which turn a range session into targets and scores. GSV25OFF takes 25% off. See the ShotForge review.
Swinging indoors with an aid
A rod or a weighted trainer is one more thing near the club. Set it where a miss hits only the rod, keep it out of the launch monitor's view and the ball's flight, and test every clearance with slow practice swings before a full one. Speed training means full-speed swings, so check the ceiling with your longest club; the GSV Sim Builder shows the swing in your room. Golf Simulator Videos and its affiliates take no responsibility for your safety, or for any injury or damage, when you swing indoors.
Which to start with
- More distance: The Stack System, or the speed mode on a QuadMAX or ST MAX if one is already in the room.
- Over the top, stuck, or thin and fat contact: the Blue Brick, $169.
- A swing to watch: GSV's free analyzer first; Sportsbox AI for 3D on a phone; the ProTee VX or Uneekor AI Trainer when the simulator already has their cameras.
- Putting: PuttAIM for aim on any green; PuttView for a full green with drills.
- Keeping practice fun: ShotForge.

Golf training aids for a simulator: questions
What are the best golf training aids for a home simulator?
It depends on the job. For swing speed, The Stack System, $299, or the speed mode built into a QuadMAX or SkyTrak ST MAX. For swing plane, path and contact on a mat, the B29 Blue Brick, $169. For putting aim, PuttAIM, from $124.99. To see the swing, GSV's free swing analyzer, Sportsbox AI, or the AI trainers on the ProTee VX and Uneekor.
Do training aids work with a launch monitor?
Yes, when set out of its view. The Stack System pairs with a launch monitor or its own Stack Radar to read speed, and the Garmin R10 added support for it in March 2026. Set rods and other aids where they stay out of the launch monitor's view and away from the ball's flight, and check the first few shots read normally.
Can you use alignment rods on a simulator mat?
Not pushed into the mat, which is the problem the B29 Blue Brick solves. Its 3 lb base holds rods at set angles in 11 slots, so shallowing, inside path, impact and alignment drills work on a hitting mat, and the maker says it can be used indoors without hitting balls.
Which launch monitors have speed training built in?
Of the units GSV has filmed, the Foresight QuadMAX, whose speed training reads swing speed with no ball, and the SkyTrak ST MAX, with a GOLFTEC speed training mode in SkyTrak's app. The QuadMAX lists at $19,999 and the ST MAX at $2,995.
Is there a free golf swing analyzer?
Yes. GSV's free swing analyzer runs in the browser: upload a swing video and AI body tracking measures tempo, head movement, hip rotation and more, with a report that can be emailed. Sportsbox AI also has a free plan, with 5 swings a month.
How much does the Uneekor AI Trainer cost?
Uneekor sells AI Trainer as an add-on at $99 a year, and it needs Uneekor's Swing Optix cameras. Uneekor's AI Report, a beta in its VIEW software, writes a coaching report from a set of shots.
Does the ProTee VX AI Swing Trainer need a subscription?
No. It is built into ProTee Labs, uses the two swing cameras that come with the ProTee VX, and ProTee Labs needs no subscription. The feature is in public beta. ProTee VX pricing comes through Jay.
Is there a discount code for golf training aids?
Yes. GSV10 takes 10% off The Stack System, GSV25 is GSV's code for the B29 Blue Brick and is accepted some of the time, and GSV25OFF takes 25% off ShotForge. GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order at Shop Indoor Golf, on a QuadMAX or a Uneekor launch monitor.
Is there free help planning a simulator room?
Yes. GSV's partner builders, master builders Jay hand-picked, offer a free consultation: they check that the launch monitor, the room and the screen fit before you buy, and offer package deals, DIY packages and full installation.
