The FlightScope Mevo Gen 2 is a radar launch monitor that sits on the floor behind the ball and works indoors and out. It is the newer model after the Mevo+, and at $1,299 it needs no subscription for its core data. FlightScope Mevo Gen 2: price and what comes with it
The Mevo Gen 2 was $1,299 on FlightScope's store on October 8, 2026. FlightScope's page lists in the box the unit, the power supply, a USB-C cable, a carry case, a quick-start guide and 100 aluminum stickers. By its spec list the unit is 6.9 x 1.2 x 5.6 in and 17.6 oz, with a built-in battery of up to 6 hours, charged by USB-C. FlightScope's Fusion Tracking combines 3D Doppler radar with image processing, and FlightScope gives 20 ball and club parameters.
FlightScope says the core data, firmware updates and software fixes are free, with no subscription. The FS Golf app and an E6 Connect bundle of 8 courses come with it. What costs more is the Pro Package and Face Impact Location, below, and any simulator software you add.
How much room a Mevo Gen 2 needs
A Mevo sits on the floor behind the ball, so it adds depth to the room where a camera unit beside the ball does not. FlightScope puts the Mevo Gen 2 7 to 9 ft behind the ball, 8 ft recommended, with at least 8 ft of ball flight to the screen or net. For putting it moves up to 5 ft behind the ball, with at least 8 ft of roll. GSV runs it just over 7 ft back, tilted 11 to 12 degrees, with just over 10 ft from the ball to the screen.
In a room 14 ft wide with a 10 ft ceiling, the GSV Sim Builder gives 16 ft 6 in as the shortest room for a Mevo Gen 2, counting the screen, the ball flight and the unit behind the golfer, and 17 ft 6 in with no caution. The Pro Package and Face Impact Location
Both are paid add-ons. On the Mevo Gen 2, FlightScope says the Pro Package adds 11 advanced parameters, among them club path, face angle, swing plane and low point. Face Impact Location shows where the ball met the club face. GSV tested both on the Mevo Gen 2 when they arrived for it in November 2025, checking Face Impact Location against foot spray on the club face.
