Uneekor EYE XO2 Review 2026: Price, Ceiling Height, Club Data and Three Years of Use

The Uneekor EYE XO2 is still the Uneekor to build a simulator room around in 2026: three ceiling cameras over the largest hitting zone Uneekor makes, all nine of Uneekor's club figures, an impact video on every shot, rough and bunker play on Uneekor's trouble mats, and no marked balls. It costs $10,999, it needs a ceiling of about 9 ft or more over the hitting area, and GSPro needs a Uneekor membership each year. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, installed one in GSV's basement studio in May 2023 and has played on it as his daily driver ever since. This review covers what it measures, what it costs to own, the ceiling and room it needs, the install, the software, what three years on it have shown, and who should buy one.

The verdict

Good at:

  • The widest zone Uneekor makes. At 28 x 21 in it is about three times the area of the EYE XO's 16 x 12 in, so a ball off the middle of the mat still reads, and a left-handed golfer can tee up off the side of the same mat with nothing moved.
  • Full club data from the ceiling. All nine of Uneekor's club figures, face angle and impact point among them.
  • Seeing the strike. Club Optix records a high-speed video of the club reaching the ball on every shot.
  • Trouble mats. It is the only Uneekor that reads the rough and bunker inserts of Uneekor's Trouble Mat.
  • No marked balls and nothing on the floor to trip over or hit.

Watch out for:

  • The ceiling. It hangs 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, so the room has to clear that plus the mat and the bracket. Under about 9 ft, look at a floor unit.
  • A yearly fee for GSPro. The free Player package covers the launch monitor itself; GSPro and other third-party software need Uneekor Pro, $199 a year, and GSPro is $250 a year on top.
  • Club stickers. Uneekor recommends its reflective face stickers for accurate club data, and 400 come in the box.
  • A Windows PC with a strong graphics card. No Mac.
  • Not more accurate than the EYE XO. Uneekor's CEO told Jay the XO2 was designed for the larger zone and the trouble mats, not for more data or accuracy than the EYE XO before it.

What it measures

Ball data, no marked balls. The three cameras read 15 ball figures from the ball as it is, among them ball speed, launch angle, side angle, back spin, side spin, spin axis, carry and total distance.

Club data, with stickers. Nine club figures: club path, club speed, smash factor, face angle, impact point, attack angle, face to path, dynamic loft and lie angle. They are read from small reflective stickers on the club face. Uneekor recommends them for accurate club data and Shop Indoor Golf's listing says club data needs them; ball data does not. 400 come in the box.

Impact video. Club Optix, in Uneekor's words, "captures high-speed impact video of the club and ball through contact". Uneekor's Swing Optix cameras, sold separately, add swing video, and AI Trainer and the AI Report use them.

Trouble mats. Uneekor's Trouble Mat takes rough and bunker inserts, and the EYE XO2 is the only Uneekor that reads them, by Uneekor's comparison. Shop Indoor Golf's listing calls the Trouble Mat optional, so check what comes with your order.

Putting. Uneekor's EYE XO2 page does not mention putting, and GSV's install video tests full shots and the trouble mats, not putting. Gimmes and auto putting in GSPro keep a round moving; the putting simulators for home guide covers the units built for putting.

Price and what it costs each year

$10,999, by Uneekor, before tax, shipping or a code. It comes with VIEW, Uneekor's own software, the free Player package and three months of Uneekor's Ultimate package. Uneekor's memberships are priced per unit and billed each year:

Uneekor's membership page, read October 8, 2026. On their own, AI Trainer is $99 a year and needs the Swing Optix cameras, and GameDay is $199 a year and needs two displays. GSPro is sold separately, $250 a year from GSPro, and needs Pro, Champion or Ultimate.

With Uneekor Pro and GSPro$11,448$12,346

No enclosure, screen, projector or PC is in these totals. With GSV5OFF the EYE XO2 is $549.95 less on a first order at Shop Indoor Golf.

Ceiling and room

The ceiling. Uneekor mounts the EYE XO2 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, measured to the bottom of the bracket, with 10 ft optimal, and says data accuracy is not guaranteed outside that range. The ceiling has to clear that height plus the mat and the bracket. Under 9 ft, the low ceiling guide lists what fits instead.

Where it hangs. About 3 ft 6 in ahead of the ball, toward the screen. The manual gives 9 to 10 ft from the hitting zone to the screen, and Uneekor's page asks for a room at least 13 ft wide, 16 ft deep and 10 ft high.

For a 5 ft 9 in golfer with a driver, from GSV Sim Builder 0.23.3. GSV's own room: the basement studio is 15 ft wide and 18 ft 8 in deep, with a ceiling of about 9 ft 8 in over the turf, the EYE XO2 and a Trackman iO on the ceiling, and the tee 10 ft 6 in from a screen built into the wall. More on rooms like it in the basement golf simulator guide; check your own in the room size checker or the GSV Sim Builder.

Right and left-handed golfers. The manual shows one hitting area for both, so the unit stays where it hangs. GSV's studio is 15 ft wide, narrower once the curtains and lights are in, and the XO2's extra width is what lets Jay tee a left-handed golfer up off the side of the mat.

Install and calibration

In the box, by Shop Indoor Golf's listing: the launch monitor, a mounting bracket with a level, VIEW, a calibration chart, power and Ethernet cabling with a USB adapter, 400 club stickers and mounting screws.

In GSV's studio in May 2023, the EYE XO2 went up on the same bracket as the EYE XO it replaced. Ethernet and power were connected in minutes, and it was calibrated in Uneekor's Launcher software with the board leveled by the level in the box. On a new ceiling the bracket goes up first, at the height and spot above; Uneekor's guide and the partner builders below can set that out for your room.

Software and the PC

  • VIEW, Uneekor's own software, with the driving range, practice modes and reports, comes with every EYE XO2.
  • Refine and Refine+, Uneekor's course play: 5 courses with Pro, 20 with Champion.
  • GameDay, Uneekor's 4K course and tournament software, with Ultimate or on its own. GSV played it on the EYE XO2: see Uneekor GameDay.
  • AI Trainer and the AI Report, Uneekor's swing analysis with the Swing Optix cameras. GSV ran the first AI Report on an EYE XO2: see the Uneekor AI Report review.
  • Third-party software, with Pro or higher: GSPro, E6 CONNECT and TGC 2019 among them. GSPro lists the EYE XO2 among its supported units; more in the GSPro guide and GSPro compatible launch monitors.

The PC. Uneekor's EYE XO2 page lists Windows 11, a 12th generation Core i7 or later or a Ryzen 7 5000, 32 GB of memory, an RTX 4070 Ti class card with 16 GB for VIEW and AI Trainer, and two Ethernet ports. There is no Mac version. See the best computer for a golf simulator for a PC that meets it.

What Jay found, from 2023 to 2026

  • Lock-on across the zone. In the 2023 install it locked on to a ball at the front and back of the zone and at both sides of the mat, and locked on fast for a zone that size.
  • Club Optix. The impact video showed a draw coming from the inside, and the club touching the turf before the ball.
  • The trouble mats. Out of the rough insert the ball sat halfway down, and a hard swing carried 148 yards; out of the bunker insert, 139. Jay's advice: take club data off normal turf, not through the trouble mats.
  • The AI Report, 2026. With stickered clubs and Swing Optix, 10 warm-up 9 irons gave a report in about 5 minutes: 84.9 mph club speed, a 145 yard carry that matches Jay's normal 9 iron, a 90% straight flight trend, and a face arriving too closed with spin lower than ideal, traced to a lack of hip turn. Jay called the root cause spot on.
  • Every day since. It has been the launch monitor Jay plays on in the studio since 2023, alongside a Trackman iO on the same ceiling.

The EYE XO2 against the alternatives

  • Uneekor EYE XO, $6,499: the same nine club figures from a 16 x 12 in zone, two cameras instead of three, and no trouble mats. The XO2 is the one for golfers of both hands or a wide zone.
  • Uneekor EYE XR, $5,999: hangs behind the tee, with no club stickers and four club figures, the face angle calculated. Every Uneekor is in the Uneekor golf simulator guide.
  • Trackman iO: radar and camera, no stickers, a ceiling from 8 ft 10 in, Trackman's own software. See EYE XO2 vs Trackman iO, the two units in GSV's studio.
  • ProTee VX: a lower price and no yearly fee for its own software. See ProTee VX vs EYE XO2.
  • Foresight GCQuad: on the floor beside the ball, indoors or out. See EYE XO2 vs GCQuad.

Every ceiling unit side by side: the best overhead launch monitors. Every budget: the best golf launch monitors.

Who should buy one

  • Buy it for a room built around the simulator with a ceiling of 9 ft or more over the turf, a house with right and left-handed golfers, full club data and an impact video on every shot, rough and bunker play, and GSPro or Uneekor's own software.
  • Skip it for a ceiling under 9 ft, for range sessions outdoors, or to avoid a yearly fee for third-party software. A floor unit such as the Uneekor EYE MINI LITE fits those better. For club data with no stickers from the ceiling, the EYE XR.

Where to buy the EYE XO2, and the code

GSV sends Uneekor buyers to Shop Indoor Golf. GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order there: $10,999 became $10,449.05 on October 8, 2026. Uneekor EYE XO2 questions

Is the Uneekor EYE XO2 worth it in 2026?

For a room built around the simulator, yes. It has the largest hitting zone Uneekor makes, 28 x 21 in, all nine of Uneekor's club figures, an impact video on every shot, rough and bunker play on Uneekor's trouble mats, and no marked balls. It costs $10,999 and needs a ceiling of about 9 ft or more over the hitting area. It has been Jay's daily driver in GSV's basement studio since 2023.

How much does the Uneekor EYE XO2 cost?

The EYE XO2 is $10,999, by Uneekor. GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order at Shop Indoor Golf, which took it to $10,449.05 on October 8, 2026. GSPro and other third-party software need Uneekor Pro at $199 a year, and GSPro is $250 a year, so year one with both comes to $11,448 at list prices.

Does the EYE XO2 need a subscription?

Not for the launch monitor itself. The free Player package gives ball data, club data and the VIEW range. Uneekor Pro, $199 a year, opens third-party software such as GSPro and Refine with 5 courses; Champion, $399, adds AI Trainer and Refine+ with 20 courses; Ultimate, $599, adds GameDay. The EYE XO2 comes with three months of Ultimate.

How high does the ceiling need to be for the EYE XO2?

Uneekor mounts it 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, measured to the bottom of the bracket, with 10 ft optimal, so the ceiling has to clear that plus the mat and the bracket. In the GSV Sim Builder the lowest ceiling with nothing to watch is 9 ft. Uneekor asks for a room at least 13 ft wide, 16 ft deep and 10 ft high.

Does the EYE XO2 need marked balls or club stickers?

No marked balls: it reads the ball as it is. For club data, Uneekor recommends its reflective club stickers on the face, and 400 come in the box. Ball data does not need them.

Does the EYE XO2 work for left-handed golfers?

Yes, from the same mount. Uneekor's manual shows one hitting area for both, and the 28 in wide zone lets a left-handed golfer tee up off the side of the mat with nothing moved.

Is the EYE XO2 more accurate than the EYE XO?

Not by design. Uneekor's CEO told Jay the EYE XO2 was designed for the larger hitting zone and the trouble mats, not for more data or accuracy than the EYE XO. Both read the same nine club figures; the XO2 adds a third camera, a zone about three times the area and the trouble mats.

Does the Uneekor EYE XO2 work with GSPro?

Yes, with Uneekor Pro, Champion or Ultimate. GSPro lists the EYE XO2 among its supported launch monitors, and GSPro itself is sold separately at $250 a year.

Is there free help planning a room around an EYE XO2?

Yes. GSV's partner builders, master builders Jay hand-picked, offer a free consultation: they check that the ceiling, the mounting spot, the screen and the PC fit before you buy, and offer package deals, DIY packages and full installation.
