Uneekor EYE XO2 vs Trackman iO: Price, Software, Room and Jay’s Tests

The Uneekor EYE XO2 is the better buy for most home simulators: it costs less, runs GSPro, and its 28 x 21 in hitting zone lets right and left-handed golfers share one ceiling mount. The Trackman iO is the one for Trackman's own software, a ceiling as low as 8 ft 10 in, and ball and club data with no club stickers, at a higher price and a yearly software plan. Both hang from the ceiling just ahead of the ball and need no marked balls. This page sets them side by side: price and three years of software, what each measures, the ceiling and room, software and the PC, what Jay found with each, and which to buy. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, has both in GSV's basement studio: the Trackman iO since its launch in 2023, and the EYE XO2, on a Uneekor mat, as his daily driver since 2023.

GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first EYE XO2 order at Shop Indoor Golf: $10,999 becomes $10,449.05. GSV5OFF's terms exclude a Trackman on its own; GSV250 takes $250 off a complete Trackman simulator package at Shop Indoor Golf.

The short answer

  • Uneekor EYE XO2: for GSPro and other third-party software, the lower price and yearly cost, the widest zone for golfers of both hands, Uneekor's rough and bunker trouble mats, and a 5% code.
  • Trackman iO: for Trackman's Virtual Golf courses, tournaments and practice modes, a lower ceiling, radar and camera tracking with no stickers on the club, and an impact video Jay calls one of his favorite features.

The EYE XO2 figures are Uneekor's EYE XO2 page and membership page, read October 18, 2026, and its manual and setup guide as the Uneekor guide gives them. The iO's price is Trackman's iO page and its software Trackman's help center (updated June 22, 2026), both read October 18, 2026; its heights are Trackman's height guide, read the same day; its zone and mount spot are from GSV's iO videos.

Price and three years of software

Uneekor EYE XO2. $10,999. It comes with Uneekor's free Player package, for ball and club data and the VIEW driving range, and three months of the Ultimate package, $599 a year after that. GSPro and other third-party software need Uneekor's Pro membership, $199 a year, and GSPro itself is $250 a year from GSPro.

Trackman iO. Trackman lists it from $13,995 and sells it through dealers. Each edition comes with its first year of software, by Shop Indoor Golf's page as the Trackman guide read it on October 8, 2026. After that, Home is $700 a year and Home Complete $1,100. Trackman publishes no price for the iO with Home Complete; Shop Indoor Golf listed it at $23,995 on October 8, 2026, the figure the Trackman guide gives.

No enclosure, screen, projector or PC is in these totals, and no code is taken off. With GSV5OFF the EYE XO2 rows are $549.95 lower.

What each measures

  • Trackman iO: radar plus a camera. Trackman says the iO “combines radar, infrared and high-speed imaging” for ball and club data, including measured 3D spin and spin axis. Trackman's head of indoor told Jay the large camera does the vision tracking and the radar does what radar is best at, such as ball speed and flight, and that the ball data is the same as on a Trackman 4. A small webcam faces the screen to line the unit up with it. No marked balls and no club stickers.
  • Uneekor EYE XO2: three cameras. Three high-speed infrared cameras read 15 ball figures, among them spin axis, and 9 club figures: club path, club speed, smash factor, impact point, face angle, attack angle, face to path, dynamic loft and lie. Uneekor recommends its club stickers for accurate club data and puts 400 in the box. No marked balls.

The iO launched with ball data only. GSV filmed its club data as it arrived: club speed, smash factor, club path and face to path in January 2024, and angle of attack for woods and hybrids in October 2025, with no stickers. Trackman's iO page gave club speed on Home and all 9 club figures on Home Complete when GSV read it on October 8, 2026. Uneekor's CEO told Jay the EYE XO2 was designed for the larger zone and the trouble mats, not for more data or accuracy than the EYE XO before it.

Both record an impact video of the club reaching the ball: Uneekor's Club Optix, and the iO's, which shows the club's path into the ball on the range and in Shot Analysis.

Putting: Trackman lists it on the iO, and Jay holed an 8 ft putt and read 3 ft putts and a 2 ft tap on it in the first look. Uneekor's EYE XO2 page does not mention putting, and GSV's EYE XO2 install video tests full shots and the trouble mats, not putting. The putting guide covers gimmes and auto putting, which keep a round moving in GSPro and Trackman.

Ceiling and room

Trackman iO. Trackman calibrates the iO for one of three heights, turf to ceiling: Low, 8 ft 10 in to 9 ft 6 in, on the standard iO only; Mid, 9 ft 4 in to 10 ft; and High, 9 ft 10 in to 10 ft 6 in, on the iO and the iO DUO. Trackman's iO page sets no minimum distance in front of or behind the ball, and says the iO DUO lets right and left-handed golfers share bays as narrow as 10 ft.

Uneekor EYE XO2. Mounted 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, measured to the bottom of the bracket, 10 ft optimal, so the ceiling has to clear that plus the mat and the bracket. Uneekor's page asks for a room at least 13 ft wide, 16 ft deep and 10 ft high.

For a 5 ft 9 in right-handed golfer with a driver, from GSV Sim Builder 0.23.3. For a right and a left-handed golfer on two tees under one iO, the builder asks for a room 13 ft 6 in wide. Check your own room in the room size checker, or open the EYE XO2 or the Trackman iO in the GSV Sim Builder. Under 9 ft, see the low ceiling guide.

Left and right-handed golfers. Both read either hand from one mount, as long as the ball sits in the zone. The EYE XO2's is 28 in wide, the iO's 24 in. GSV's studio is 15 ft wide, narrower once the curtains and lights are in, and the XO2's extra width is what lets Jay tee a left-handed golfer up off the side of the mat. On the iO, a chip with the ball about 12 in off center still read.

Software and the PC

  • Trackman iO: Trackman's own software only. Home, $700 a year, has a set of courses, three games, the range, target and on-course practice, tournaments and online play, by Trackman's help center. Home Complete, $1,100 a year, adds all courses and games, Shot Analysis and the Performance Center. GSPro does not list the iO. Trackman lists an RTX 4070 Ti, 4070 Ti Super or 5070 Ti, 32GB of memory, Windows 11 and an Intel processor, as GSV's computer guide gives it.
  • Uneekor EYE XO2: VIEW and the free Player package; Pro, $199 a year, adds third-party software such as GSPro, E6 CONNECT and TGC 2019, and Refine with 5 courses; Champion, $399, adds Refine+ with 20 courses and AI Trainer; Ultimate, $599, adds GameDay. Uneekor's EYE XO2 page lists Windows 11, a Core i7 of the 12th generation or later or a Ryzen 7 5000, 32 GB of memory, an RTX 4070 Ti class card with 16 GB for VIEW and AI Trainer, and two Ethernet ports.

GSPro is $250 a year from GSPro. See the best computer for a golf simulator for a PC that meets both lists, and GSPro compatible launch monitors for every unit GSPro lists.

What Jay found with each, in the same studio

GSV has not filmed the two in one head-to-head video. Both hang in GSV's basement studio, and these are from each unit's own videos there.

  • EYE XO2, May 2023: swapped in for the EYE XO on the same bracket, Ethernet and power in minutes, then calibrated in Uneekor's Launcher with the board leveled by the level in the box. It locked on to a ball at the front and back of the zone and at both sides of the mat, and locked on fast for a zone that size. Club Optix showed a draw coming from the inside and the club touching the turf before the ball. Out of the rough insert the ball sat halfway down and a hard swing carried 148 yards; out of the bunker insert, 139. Jay's advice: take club data off normal turf, not through the trouble mats. It has been his daily driver since.
  • Trackman iO, September 2023: a first look days before launch. The mounting spot is found with a tee marker, the calibration board and a flashlight shining up at the ceiling, and Trackman's head of indoor compared the install to flat-pack furniture. An 8-iron read about 7,000 rpm, the impact video showed the club coming from the inside and a strike toward the heel, a chip about 12 in off center read, a flop with the face laid flat read, and putts from 8 ft down to a 2 ft tap read. In 2023 the impact video could not be replayed inside a Virtual Golf round; Jay asked Trackman for it.

EYE XO2 vs Trackman iO questions

Is the Uneekor EYE XO2 or the Trackman iO better?

Neither for everyone. The EYE XO2 costs less, runs GSPro with Uneekor's Pro membership, has the wider 28 x 21 in zone and reads Uneekor's rough and bunker trouble mats. The Trackman iO runs Trackman's own software, goes on a ceiling from 8 ft 10 in, and reads the club with no stickers. Jay has both in GSV's basement studio, and the EYE XO2 is his daily driver.

How much do the EYE XO2 and the Trackman iO cost?

The EYE XO2 is $10,999 by Uneekor, and GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order at Shop Indoor Golf, to $10,449.05. Trackman lists the iO from $13,995, read October 18, 2026. By Shop Indoor Golf's page on October 8, 2026, that comes with the first year of Home software, and the iO with Home Complete was $23,995.

What do they cost over three years?

At list price, the EYE XO2 is $10,999 with Uneekor's own software only and $12,346 with Uneekor Pro and GSPro. The Trackman iO is $15,395 on Home and $26,195 on Home Complete, with the first year of software included and two renewals. No enclosure, screen, projector or PC is included.

Does the Trackman iO work with GSPro?

GSPro does not list the Trackman iO, which runs Trackman's own software on Home or Home Complete. The EYE XO2 runs GSPro with Uneekor's Pro membership, $199 a year, and GSPro is $250 a year from GSPro.

What ceiling height do the EYE XO2 and the Trackman iO need?

Uneekor mounts the EYE XO2 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, 10 ft optimal. Trackman calibrates the iO for 8 ft 10 in to 9 ft 6 in from the turf to the ceiling on the standard iO, and for 9 ft 4 in to 10 ft 6 in on the iO and the iO DUO. In the GSV Sim Builder both need a 9 ft ceiling with nothing to watch.

Do you need club stickers or marked balls?

No marked balls on either. The Trackman iO needs no club stickers. Uneekor recommends its club stickers on the EYE XO2 for accurate club data and puts 400 in the box.

Which is better for left and right-handed golfers?

Both read either hand from one ceiling mount. The EYE XO2's zone is 28 in wide against the iO's 24 in, which gives more room to tee a left-handed golfer off the side of the mat, and Trackman's iO DUO is built for both in bays as narrow as 10 ft.

Has GSV tested the EYE XO2 and the Trackman iO?

Yes, both in GSV's basement studio. Jay installed the EYE XO2 in May 2023 and it has been his daily driver since, and he filmed the Trackman iO first look in September 2023, days before its launch, and its updates since.
