ProTee GolfCore Release Date, Price and What GSV Saw at the 2026 PGA Show

By Jay Lasco 2026 PGA SHOW

ProTee GolfCore is the new golf simulator software from ProTee, the company behind the ProTee VX overhead launch monitor. It is built on Unreal Engine for home simulators, commercial venues and competitive play, and ProTee says it will be free for current and future ProTee VX owners. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, saw it at the 2026 PGA Show: the graphics, the Unreal Engine look and a first look at its course editor. Here is when GolfCore is coming out, what ProTee has said about it and what it means for a ProTee VX owner, as of October 14, 2026.

ProTee GolfCore release date

ProTee has not given a public release date. Its ProTee Studios page, which describes its Unreal Engine simulator software without naming it, lists the expected release date as to be decided. The target has moved several times, by ProTee's posts on its official forum:

When ProTee said itWhat ProTee said
September 30, 2025The GolfCore name, with a beta for VX owners first
October 2025Release in the first quarter of 2026
January 10, 2026A work in progress video, and free for current and future VX owners
March 18, 2026The beta moves to the end of the second quarter
May 18, 2026The beta expected in late June

Since then, ProTee Labs, the VX's own software, has added GolfCore support in its release notes: the game was renamed GolfCore in July 2026, Labs began receiving the selected club from GolfCore in August, and a fix for shots that did not launch in GolfCore followed later that month. So a GolfCore build exists and is being tested, but as of October 14, 2026 ProTee has not announced a public beta or a full release. This post will be updated when it does.

What GolfCore is

  • Built for simulators: ProTee says GolfCore is built from the ground up for golf simulators, for commercial venues, home simulators and competitive play.
  • Unreal Engine: ProTee says it is powered by Unreal Engine. ProTee's studio page talks of real-time shot tracking, dynamic weather and carefully recreated environments.
  • A course editor: shown at the 2026 PGA Show. ProTee has not published a course count.
  • Alongside GSPro: ProTee says no extra connector or license is needed to run GolfCore next to GSPro on a VX.

What GSV saw at the 2026 PGA Show

In the video, Jay gets a first look at GolfCore at ProTee's booth in Orlando: the graphics, a talk about Unreal Engine, and the course editor. For ProTee VX owners, it was a first in-person look at the course play software ProTee had been promising since fall 2025.

GolfCore price

ProTee says GolfCore will be free for current and future ProTee VX owners. ProTee has not announced a price for anyone else. The ProTee VX itself has no recurring software fees, by ProTee, and ProTee Labs comes with it.

Will GolfCore work with other launch monitors?

Not yet. In March 2026 ProTee wrote that GolfCore will become compatible with systems that are not ceiling mounted. That is a plan, not something available today, and ProTee has not said which launch monitors or what it will cost them.

GolfCore PC requirements

ProTee says it will publish GolfCore's PC requirements once the beta is released. Until then, the ProTee VX's own list is the guide: at least an RTX 3060, an Intel Core i7 8th generation and 8GB, with an RTX 3080 class card and 16GB or more recommended, on Windows. The best computer for a golf simulator guide covers what each program asks for.

What it means for a ProTee VX owner

Today a ProTee VX plays through ProTee Labs for practice and through GSPro, which ProTee connects officially, for course play. GolfCore adds ProTee's own course play at no extra cost once it ships. The ProTee VX review covers the launch monitor, the install and the GSPro test, and the ProTee VX page covers its specs, ceiling height and price.
