What the video covers
The Spica 3 is a camera-based launch monitor from GolfJoy. This video centers on the GolfJoy Pro iOS app, which at the time of the video came with a basic range and one course and needed no subscription. Jay's full Spica 3 review is a separate video.
- iOS app overview: a walk through the GolfJoy Pro app and what comes with it.
- Range shots: Jay hits shots on the app's range.
- Video replay: GolfJoy says the Spica 3 records high-frame-rate video of the club before, during and after impact, and Jay looks at the replay in the app.
- Course play: the longest part of the video, playing a course in the app.
- Putting and games: Jay putts in the app, then tries its games before his final thoughts.
GolfJoy's own list for the Spica 3 at the time: three high-speed cameras, 27 data points for ball and club, use indoors and outdoors, 9-axis stability on any surface, any ball, a built-in touch screen, NFC for instant data and a rechargeable battery. GolfJoy listed it as compatible with its own software, E6 CONNECT and GSPro.
