What the video covers
GSV had already compared the MLM2PRO with the GCQuad on chipping, irons and driver. Full wedges had not been covered, and viewers suggested this video. Jay hits full wedges with the MLM2PRO connected to Awesome Golf and reads its numbers next to the GCQuad's.
How the MLM2PRO measures, from Rapsodo:
- Cameras and radar: two built-in cameras combined with radar processing.
- Impact Vision: a 240 fps high-speed camera that captures the ball at impact. Its images of the ball's rotation are how the MLM2PRO measures spin rate and spin axis.
- Shot Vision: a wide-angle camera that records a swing video with a shot trace on every shot.
- Metrics: 13 in all, 6 of them measured, including spin rate and spin axis.
- Balls: Callaway says its RPT Chrome Soft X balls carry a printed Rapsodo pattern so the MLM2PRO can track the ball.
- Where it works: indoors and outdoors, with Apple and Android devices.
