What the video covers
The 5.0 software update for iOS added SkyTrak Course Play to the iPad version of the SkyTrak app, so full rounds can be played on a simulator run from an iPad. Jay reviews the new course play and what the update adds. The points SkyTrak made about it at the time, as set out in the video's description:
- Courses: at the time of the video, Course Play listed 30 world-renowned courses.
- Built into the app: course play runs inside the SkyTrak app, with no third-party download needed.
- Graphics: SkyTrak describes fairways, greens, water hazards, bunkers and trees captured in detail.
- Ball reaction: SkyTrak says the ball reacts as it would on a real course, with the elements of the outdoor game recreated indoors.
The descriptions of the graphics and the ball physics are SkyTrak's own words. The video shows the new course play in use, so viewers can see the courses and the ball flight for themselves on the iPad version of the software.
The same 5.0 software update also came to the PC version of the SkyTrak app, and Jay covers that version in a separate video. This video stays with the iOS release and the iPad.
