Uneekor EYE XO2 vs Foresight GCQuad: Ceiling or Floor, Side by Side

The Uneekor EYE XO2 and the Foresight GCQuad are both camera launch monitors that read the ball and the club at impact, and both run GSPro. They are built for different golfers. The EYE XO2 hangs from the ceiling ahead of the tee, reads right- and left-handed golfers from the same spot and records a high-speed video of every impact. The GCQuad sits on the floor beside the ball, runs on a battery, works outdoors at the range and takes Foresight's putting analysis as an add-on. This page sets the two side by side from Uneekor's and Foresight's own pages and manuals. Jay Lasco, host of Golf Simulator Videos, has filmed on the GCQuad since 2020 and installed an EYE XO2 in GSV's studio in 2023.

The short answer

The EYE XO2 fits a golfer who is building a room around the simulator, plays with both right- and left-handed golfers, and wants to see the club strike the ball. From the ceiling it reads both from the same mount with nothing to move, and Uneekor's Club Optix records a high-speed video of the club and ball through contact on every shot.

The GCQuad fits a golfer who wants to take the launch monitor to the range or the course, and who wants putting data. It runs on a swappable battery with a screen made to be read outdoors, and Foresight's putting analysis is an add-on for it.

Both read the ball with no marked balls, both measure club data with small markers on the club face, and both connect to GSPro. The rest of this page goes through each difference.

Prices are Uneekor's and Foresight's own product pages, before tax and shipping. The EYE XO2's figures are from Uneekor's product page and comparison page; the GCQuad's from Foresight's GCQuad page and manual. Foresight's manual gives the hitting zone as about 14 x 14 in with club tracking on.

Right- and left-handed golfers

This is the biggest everyday difference. The EYE XO2 looks down from the ceiling at a hitting zone of 28 x 21 in, which Uneekor says is there to accommodate both left- and right-handed golfers. A right-handed and a left-handed golfer can take turns in the same round with nothing moved.

The GCQuad sits across the ball from the golfer, facing the golfer, so for a left-handed golfer it goes on the other side of the ball. Foresight's manual has a key that switches it to left-handed tracking. That takes a minute, and the room needs space for the unit on both sides of the mat.

The EYE XO2's zone is also more than twice the area of the GCQuad's 18 x 14 in, so the ball does not have to sit in such an exact spot.

Impact video and club data

Uneekor's Club Optix "captures high-speed impact video of the club and ball through contact", by Uneekor's EYE XO2 page. The replay comes with the club figures for the shot. GSV's EYE XO2 install video shows it in GSV's studio:

The GCQuad reads its club figures from markers on the face, among them closure rate, which the EYE XO2 does not list. Foresight's GCQuad page does not describe an impact video.

Putting analysis

Foresight lists Essential Putting Analysis for the GCQuad, and it is a paid add-on: Shop Indoor Golf sells the GCQuad with putting added for $2,000 more, and putting analysis came to the Foresight App for the GCQuad in November 2025. GSV tested it on the GCQuad in January 2026:

Uneekor's EYE XO2 page does not list putting analysis.

Outdoors and at the range

The GCQuad is made for both. Foresight's page lists indoor and outdoor use, a display made to be read outdoors and a swappable battery rated at 6 to 8 hours. GSV took one to Coyote Preserve Golf Club for an outdoor lesson with PGA professional Darren Husse.

The EYE XO2 stays in the room. It is bolted to the ceiling, plugged in and wired to the PC, and Uneekor lists it as not portable.

Will it fit your room

The EYE XO2 mounts 9 to 10 ft above the top of the hitting area, measured to the bottom of its bracket, by Uneekor's setup guide, and about 3 ft 6 in ahead of the ball, by its manual. The ceiling has to clear that height plus the mat and the bracket. For a room 14 ft wide with a 10 ft ceiling, the GSV Sim Builder lays it out with no caution in a room 17 ft deep, and with cautions from 15 ft 4 in.

The GCQuad sits about 22 in from the hitting area, by Foresight's manual, so the ceiling only has to clear the swing: 8 ft 11 in with no caution for a 5 ft 9 in golfer. In the same 14 ft wide room the Sim Builder lays it out with no caution at 17 ft deep, and with cautions from 14 ft 6 in.

A low ceiling points to the GCQuad. Put your own room, ceiling and golfer height in the GSV Sim Builder: pick either unit and it lays out the screen, the tee and the launch monitor in 3D and tells you what fits.

Software and what each costs each year

Both come with software at no yearly cost: Uneekor VIEW with the free Player membership, and Foresight+ Free. GSPro and other third-party software need a paid membership from the maker on top of GSPro, which is $250 a year from GSPro.

GSPro$250 a year$250 a year

Uneekor's EYE XO2 page includes three months of its Ultimate package, $599 a year after that. A GCQuad owner with an eligible FSX Play or FSX 2020 license can use GSPro without Gold, by Foresight. The GSPro compatible launch monitors page has the same figures for every unit.

GSV sends buyers of both to Shop Indoor Golf. Code GSV5OFF takes 5% off a first order there: $10,999 becomes $10,449.05 on the EYE XO2 and $15,999 becomes $15,199.05 on the GCQuad. Code GSV250 takes $250 off a full simulator package. Every code is on the golf simulator discount codes page, and the Uneekor and Foresight code pages have each model.
